OVERVIEW
IPTL was incorporated to implement an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The Letter of Intent was issued by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) to the IndiGrid in January 2024, for a 35-year period from the scheduled commercial operation date, under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model. The Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) for the project was signed with the Long-Term Transmission Customers on February 9, 2024, post which the project SPV was acquired by the IndiGrid Consortium. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be commissioned in FY2025–26.
