OVERVIEW
The Letter of Intent was issued by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) to the IndiGrid in February 2024, for a 35-year period from the scheduled commercial operation date, under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model. The Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) for the project was signed with the Long-Term Transmission Customers on April 05, 2025, post which the project SPV was acquired by the IndiGrid Consortium. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be commissioned in FY2025–26.
Kallam Transco Limited in the Grid
The project involves upgrading a substation and building a 13km transmission line in Maharashtra, India. Once built, the project will help generate 3.25 GW of wind energy in the local area.
